Making sure of your verbs

Posted on: July 12, 2010

At least for native Thai speakers, using the correct verb can be a problem.

I have a thought.

Everyone in English class is taught to conjugate verbs:

I eat

You eat

He/she/it eats

I cry

You cry

He/she/it cries

I love

You love

He/she/it loves

All of my students could do this correctly, but then often wrote: She love to shop.

To avoid this kind of mistake, go back in your mind or on paper and conjugate the verb. Use it with I, you and he/she/it.   This will help you remember the correct form of the verb to use in your sentence.

Have fun with your English! Study hard, relax, enjoy!
